Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has rolled out a statewide grassroots mobilisation campaign to ensure no eligible citizen is left out in the voter registration exercise ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The campaign, according to the State Commissioner of Information, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, underscores the governor’s commitment to consolidating democracy through mass participation and inclusive governance.

“His Excellency has directed that no eligible citizen should be left behind in this crucial exercise. This is not only about participation; it is about securing the democratic rights of our people and deepening inclusive governance,” he said.

To achieve this, Maiyaki said the Ministry of Information is working hand-in-hand with the Ministry of Local Government Affairs, the Bureau of Religious Affairs, and traditional and religious leaders to drive awareness across every ward, village and community in Kaduna State.

He explained that Governor Sani has consistently placed citizen engagement at the heart of his administration.

“This mobilisation drive reflects the governor’s vision of a people-centred administration, where every voice counts and every citizen has a stake in shaping the future of Kaduna State.

“We call on all stakeholders—community leaders, youth groups, women organisations, and civic actors—to rally behind this effort and make participation a collective success,” he added.
