2027: Kogi APC endorses President Tinubu, Governor Ododo for 2nd term

Kogi state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for second term in office.
The APC stakeholders ,including party chieftains, starwalts and members, drawn across the three senatorial districts in the state made the declaration at the weekend in Lokoja .
While addressing the party members, the past immediate governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, said Tinubu was created with a special grace of God, and no one can fight that grace and succeed.
According to the ex-governor, the rationale behind the endorsement of president Asiwaju Ahmed Bola to continue in office after the expiration of his 1st term in 2027 include, his democratic traits, consistent believe in progress of the nation and grace of God on him.
“We have three reasons why Kogi state is endorsing President Tinubu, He has laid his life for democracy in Nigeria. Tinubu as a person has remained persistent and consistent in his belief of the nation’s progress
“Secondly, President Tinubu is a humanist, a leader without boundary; he has mentored this generation of democrats like us,
“Thirdly, Tinubu is the founder of APC in Nigeria, without his vision and progressive ideas, there would not have been APC in Nigeria and Africa today.
“Above all, Tinubu was created with a special grace of God, and no one can fight that grace and succeed,” Bello said.
Earlier, chairman of organizing committee of the occasion , Senator Smart Adeyemi said members of the party are gathered to endorse President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu for his second term’s bid because he has what it takes to move the country forward.
“Tinubu is building on wealth, creating jobs, embarking on economic diversification, eradicating poverty through cash transfers, students free loans, social security, innovative leadership etc.
” So, the state is here to convey our endorsement to Mr President through this political gathering”.
In his remarks, Governor Ododo thanked President Tinubu for giving the state the template of good governance.
He said : “Under my leadership, Kogi state is replicating the good work of president Tinubu. And that is why we said President Tinubu do not need to come to Kogi to campaign for his second term.
“I therefore applaud my people in the state for speaking in one voice through this endorsement today”.
In a separate move, ex governor Bello moved a motion for the endorsement of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in office to that effect.
