Youth groups from across Niger State on Monday purchased the Governorship Intent Form for governorship aspirant, Yahya Muhammad Guregi, ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial race.

The event took place at the NDC National Secretariat in Abuja and was led by Hon. Albashir Aliyu Gidan Kwano, a former House of Assembly aspirant in the 2023 general elections.

Speaking during the exercise, the youth leaders said the move reflected their confidence in Guregi’s leadership qualities, political experience and commitment to the development of Niger State.

According to the group, the decision to obtain the intent form represents the aspirations of youths and stakeholders seeking leadership focused on economic growth, education, youth empowerment, infrastructure and security.

The group also called on party members, traditional leaders, women groups, students and other residents to support the initiative.

“This is a defining moment in the political history of Niger State. The movement has begun, and together we can build a brighter future for generations to come,” the group said in a statement signed by the Niger State Concerned Youths and led by Hon. Albashir Aliyu Gidan Kwano.
