22,000 would-be teachers are to take computer based Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE) prepared by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria between June 7 and 9.

The Council’s Registrar, Professor Josiah Olusegun Ajiboye said in a statement that over 30,000 candidates applied for the batch ‘A’ exam but 8,000 were turned down for insufficient credentials. He said those writing the exam have met the council’s condition for registration, certification and licensing.

The exam would hold between June 7 and 8 in Bauchi, Enugu, Kaduna, Kano, and Taraba states while candidates in the remaining states and FCT would write the exam on June 9. Candidates in Edo State would take the exam in Delta State while those in Kogi would have to wait for batch ‘B’ exam which would hold later in the year.
