A 25 year old carpenter Mustapha Sulaiman of Gandun Albasa quarters in Kano Metropolis has allegedly been killed on Monday around 12 midnight by suspected thugs at Dan’agundi quarters.

The deceased was said to have been killed by suspected thugs along Danagundi-Gandun Albasa road.

It was said that the thugs who were celebrating the victory of Dr Abduullahi Umar Ganduje as Governor of Kano state the descended on the deceased after one of them identified him as a resident of Gandun Albasa quarters.

Chronicle gathered that there was a history of misunderstanding between the thugs of Gandun Albasa and that of Dan’agundi.

An uncle to the deceased, Muntari Muhammad told our reporter that the family had reported the matter to the police as the suspected killers were said to be “well known in the area”.

He also described the deceased as a decent as he had never being identified as thug or drug addict.
