A statement by the secretary of the church, Mr Samuel Afuape last Wednesday in Lagos said the youths would be drawn from churches under the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

It said the conference, with the theme, “Soaring to Greater Heights’’ would expose the youths to talks and lectures aimed at positioning them for a successful adulthood.

The statement said resource persons, including officials from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education would attend the conference.

It said the programme started in 2001 at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, with more than 100,000 youths in attendance.

The statement said the programme had made positive impacts on the lives of youths, families and the society in general.

It said adequate security arrangements would be provided to ensure a hitch-free programme. (NAN)
