284 new Covid-19 infections reported Wednesday

A total 284 people tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday, up from 226 on Tuesday.

It brings Nigeria’s cumulative number of people infected with coronavirus since the start of the pandemic to 6,677.

Of Wednesdays figure, 199 are in Lagos and 26 in Rivers, according to figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control late Wednesday.

5-Kano
2-Abia
1-Ekiti

1-Kwara
1-Taraba.

On the same day, dozens were discharged from hospital after treatment–17 in Lagos and 91 in Gombe.

By Wednesday, a total 1,840 had left hospital.

The death toll from Covid-19 reached 200 on Wednesday.
