Works of Nigeria’s award-wining music act, Tuface Idibia, were unveiled at the Grammy Museum’s new exhibit entitled, ‘Sounds of Africa.’
According to a release by BukiHQ Media, the event focused on displaying and celebrating legacies in the African music industry and featured other legendary acts like Angelique Kidjo, Salif Keith and Mafikizolo among others.
The statement said: “These artistes, who are also winners of Grammy awards and BET awards respectively, are being celebrated for their creative process as well as the art/technology of their recording process.”
The event put together by Grammy Museum and Black Entertainment Television (BET) held yesterday, June 24 and will be on display till the end of the year.
Other exhibits included handwritten lyrics, costumes and an array of rare musical instruments. Other artistes whose works are also exhibited include Nigerian visual artist, Laolu Senbanjo; Nigerian singer/songwriter, Sir Victor Uwaifo, Ice Prince and Congolease rumba singer/songwriter, Tabu Ley Rochereau.
