Empress Njamah and Vina Tony of BBA asked guests to partake in a good cause. “We in the entertainment industry are playing our role in trying to see the dream of having a street free of homeless kids. We are going to do within our capacity to see that this dream is achieved.” Guests were treated to the foundation’s school anthem performed by megastar 2Face Idibia, Sound Sultan, Stella Damasus other stars.
Okorocha said the foundation’s Volunteer Corps intends to educate 1,000,000 children from the lowest rungs of society’s ladder and place them in secondary education. “Empowering such a huge number of children within the next decade is not a simple task. Whilst there is no doubt that such a huge number of African children are living in poverty and in dire need of education, there remains the very real challenge of raising enough funds to allow them to access high quality schooling in a short period of time,” she said.
