3 accused of kidnapping infant, demand $180 ransom in Kano

Three youth have appeared before a Kano magistrates’ court sitting at Gayadi Gyadi of Kumbotso LGA of the state over alleged kidnapping.

They allegedly kidnapped a 4-year-old infant, Muhammad Nasir and demanded a ransom of $180 dollars.

They were, however, tracked and arrested by the police in the state.

The accused, Hizbullah Salisu, Aliyu Abubakar and Hassan Aliyu, were charged with conspiracy, criminal offence and kidnapping.

They pleaded not guilty and Magistrate Rakiya Lami Sani ordered their remand in a correctional centre untill October 30 for re-arraignment.
