3 arraigned for alleged voter card forgery

Three persons who allegedly printed fake voter cards in Lagos State have been dragged before an Ogba, Ikeja, magistrates court. 

The accused – Mrs Nwosisi Loveth Amarachukwu, Mr Williams Prince Chukwuebuka and Adu Bukola – were arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and pretence.

The police prosecutor, Raphael Donny, told the court on Wednesday that the accused committed the offence on August 2, 2018, in Lagos by engaging themselves in the printing of fake temporary voter’s cards of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for one Mr Innocent Public. 

The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges. 

The magistrate, B.O. Osunsanmi, adjourned the case till September 12, 2018.
