Three persons have been arraigned before a Kano Magistrate court No 15 sitting in No Man’s L and over alleged misappropriation of goods worth N15m.
The prosecuting officer, Inspector Jacob Yaduma, told the court that one Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu and his business partners from Kantin-Kwari Market jointly reported to the Police Area Command Metro that Musa Moh’d of Kamba town, Lawan Abubakar and Nasiru Lawan all from Gombe town that the accused made some purchases of goods including Wax and Shadda materials worth N160m.
“All the goods were loaded on Trailer truck with registration number XA09KWM which you Musa Mohd Kamba drove car to Kano. But on reaching Kano, the complainants discovered that some of the goods valued N15m were missing and both of you could not give satisfactory account for the missing goods,” he said.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to three count charges of criminal conspiracy breach of trust and theft contrary to sections 97, 312 and 287 of the Penal Code Law.
The Presiding Judge, Chief Magistrate Mukhtar Garba Dandago granted the accused bail on N1m with two reliable sureties. One of the sureties must owned a landed property with C of O.
Dandango adjourned the case to 14th March, 2019 for continuation.
