The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned three men—Yakubu Dauda (36), Temidayo Ogunlade (20), and Sunday Felix (25)—before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court over allegations of fraud.
The prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants, along with others still at large, conspired to fraudulently convert the sum of N10,000,000 to their personal use between May 23, 2025, and January 2026. The money reportedly belonged to one Michael Adesina.
ASP Oriyomi stated that the alleged offences are punishable under Sections 421, 295, and 302(6) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
Counsel to the defendants, Barrister O. G. Abiola, prayed to the court to admit his clients to bail, assuring the magistrate that they would not jump bail.
In his ruling, Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun granted each defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned until March 9, 2026, for a hearing.
