3 corpses found in bush after bandits, soldiers clashed in Kaduna village

Three corpses were found after soldiers exchanged fire with bandits in Akoti village in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State.

City & Crime had reported that bandits who rustled cows from Kasangwai and were passing through Akoti were confronted by soldiers on Tuesday evening which led to exchange of fire in which a soldier was killed, while three others sustained bullet wounds.

A resident, Shuaibu Dauda, said the three villagers who were trying to escape from Akoti village during the exchange of gunfire between the soldiers and the bandits were killed.

He said the corpses were found inside the bush a few kilometres to Kagarko town and that vigilantes went to the scene and evacuated them for burial.

The Madaki of Janjala, Samaila Babangida, who confirmed the discovery of the corpses, said, “A relation phoned from Kagarko town to inform me about it.”
