Three out of 10 Nigerians who responded to a Daily Trust survey wants Senator Bukola Saraki to be removed as the Senate President.

Senator Bukola Saraki had on the 31st of July, 2018 defected from the Ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, party to the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP, citing marginalization and call by his supporters as reasons  for his defection.

A total of 1097 people took part in the survey which closed on August 21st, 2018 on the Daily Trust website.

Thirty eight per cent which makes up 417 respondents said they want the senate President to be removed.

However, 340 respondents making up 31 per cent said they want the Senate President to resign while another 31 per cent which equals 340 respondents wants the Senate President to stay.
