Three people—two men and one woman—were arraigned at an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Thursday for allegedly exhuming two corpses.
The defendants, Olakunle Tobun (63), Adewale Quadri (70), and Mrs. Omotola Tobun (69), face charges of conspiracy and exhumation of corpses.
The prosecutor, Inspector Iyabo Oladoyin, informed the court that the suspects exhumed the bodies of the late Muritala Tobun and the late Wulematu Tobun from their graves at No. 24, Old Police Post, Molete, Ibadan, in August.
All three defendants pleaded not guilty and the Magistrate, Mrs. T.G. Daodu, granted each of them bail in the amount of N500,000, with one surety in the same sum.
The case was adjourned until November 12, for hearing. (NAN)
