Three people, including a vigilante, have been reportedly killed in Minna, the Niger State Capital, during a night fight among various groups of hoodlums.
Residents said the fights happened in various areas including Maitumbi, Albishiri, Shango, among others, between 9pm and 11pm on Friday.
While the vigilante and a 10-year-old boy were killed in Maitumbi Area, a 100-level student of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai identified as Haji was stabbed to death at Kampani Area of the city.
A resident of the area, Abdulkareem Ibrahim, said the vigilante was stabbed while trying to control the hoodlums armed with dangerous weapons.

Residents of Maitumbi told Daily Trust on Sunday that many shops were burgled and food stuffs and other valuables stolen during the fight.
The clash was reported to have started at a mining site located at Unguwar Kwarin-Bega during the day and later escalated to other areas in the night.
This happened despite Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s recent order to shoot at sight any hoodlum found with dangerous weapon fighting, especially in Minna.
Residents said the crisis had persisted even after the order.
When contacted, Niger State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, said six people have so far been arrested.
“Police patrol teams responded and about six persons were arrested, however, monitoring continues with a view to arrest other fleeing miscreants,” he said.
