Three persons were killed when the vehicle they were traveling in, was ambushed along Donga_Wukari road
Daily Trust gathered that the victims were conveying paddy rice in a pickup van to Wukari and unknown Gunmen ambushed them.
The Gunmen it was gathered shot the 3 persons dead and dumped their bodies in the bush and went away with the pickup van and the paddy rice.
A source in the area, Mr.Gangum Bala told our reporter in a telephone interview that the victims are from Donga town and they were on their way to Wukari town to sell the paddy rice.
He said pickup van was later found empty in a forest without trace of the attackers and the bags of paddy rice.
The source said following the killing of the three persons Donga town was tense as youths suspected the Tiv militia behind the ambush.
The Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) Taraba command, DSP David Misal confirmed the incident but said police was not informed of the recovery of the pickup van.
