At least three youths have been killed in the fresh cult killings in Sagamu, Ogun State, police confirmed on Monday.

Our correspondent reports that about 20 persons were killed in September when members of the Eiye and Aiye confraternities took turns to kill one another.

The government declared a curfew in order to curtail the killings.

However, the cultists reportedly resumed the killings on Friday by shooting two persons dead in the Latawa area of Sagamu.

The police spokesman in the state, Omolola Odutola, confirmed that three deaths were recorded in the clash.

She added that, “In connection with the cult clash, three individuals have been arrested as follows: Oluwatosin Adeniro (25), Adebayo Oluwasun (35) and Segun Ademola (38).”

Odutola further said that the Commissioner of Police, Alamutu Abiodun, was in Sagamu throughout the weekend to ensure the safety of all persons in the area.
