Three suspected members of a robbery and kidnapping syndicate have been arrested in Katsina State.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Wakili, said the suspects, armed with AK 47 rifles and other dangerous weapons, attacked the house of one Alhaji Abdulkadir Mikka (75) of Burma village in Funtua Local Government Area, shot his son, one Alhaji Rabi’u Abdulkadir (50) to death and robbed him of an unspecified amount of money.

He said the suspects, Sani Zubairu (38), Ma’aruf Lawal and Ibrahim Hassan, both 23, equally kidnapped another son of Mikka, Mika Abdulkadir (30) and took him to an unknown destination. 

He said the suspects had confessed to the crime while effort was on to track and arrest other members of the syndicate.
