Three young men, Abba Usaini, Sani Ibrahim and Aminu Abdullahi have been remanded in prison for allegedly attacking Sulaiman Ishaq and Dayyabu Alkassim with deadly weapons with a view to robbing them.
They accused persons were arraigned before a senior magistrate court at No Man’s Land, Kano for criminal conspiracy, causing grievous hurt, unlawful possession of deadly weapons, attempt to commit culpable homicide and robbery.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the offenses contradicted Sections 97, 24,103, 229, and 95 of the Penal Code Law.
“The victims were attacked with dangerous weapons by the accused persons in their quest to rob them of a mobile phone valued at N4500, and in the process, Ishaq sustained serious injury on his left hand,” the FIR indicated.
When the charge sheet was read to the accused persons, they denied all charges leveled against them.
The presiding Judge, Senior Magistrate Maryam Ahmad ordered for the remand of the accused at Goron Dutse Prison and adjourned the case to November 27, 2017 for continuation.
