3 remanded over alleged conspiracy, armed robbery

The Edo State High Court has remanded three persons in a Correctional Centre over alleged conspiracy and armed robbery in the state.
The defendants—Tama Nameh (28), Gambo Rena (32), and Godfrey Ayunba (31)—were arraigned on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and armed robbery.
The prosecutor told the court that the accused persons and others at large conspired at Ogume community to commit armed robbery, an offence punishable under the law.
He stated that the defendants, armed with guns, cutlasses, and other dangerous weapons, robbed their victims of two Access Bank ATM cards, two HP laptops valued at N1 million, a Dell laptop, and other valuables.
The prosecutor further alleged that the defendants also robbed another victim of an iPhone 16 Pro Max, a Samsung S25 Ultra, an iPhone 12 Pro Max, one HP laptop, and other valuables, with a total estimated value of N8 million.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges. The court ordered them to be remanded in a Correctional Centre and adjourned the case for hearing.
