The police in Edo State have arrested three suspects, Godstime Osarenwendia (27), Ojo Adelomon (38) and Evans Okharia (22), over alleged cult activities and armed robbery.
The Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adegboye, described Godstime as a notorious armed robber and cultist who had been in the blacklist of the command.
He said the suspect confessed being a member of the Eiye secret cult and also an armed robber who robbed in Ugbowo and environs.
He further said investigation later led to the arrest of the two other suspects, Ojo Adelomon and Evans Okharia, who were members of Godstime’s gang.

He added that three cut-to-size single-barrel guns, two locally made pistols and four live cartridges were recovered from them.
In an interview with journalists, Godstime denied being an armed robber but confirmed being a member of the Eiye confraternity.
