Operatives of the Edo State Police Command, in collaboration with the vigilantes, have arrested three suspected armed robbers, Suleiman Aliyu (25), Abdulrazak Ogbesor (36), Inusemiu Abdulrouf (36), terrorising Auchi and its environs in Edo North Senatorial District.
The command’s spokesperson, Moses Yamu, said the suspects, after successful robbery operations, would move to a hotel in Agbede community where they shared the proceeds.
He said acting on credible intelligence, the operatives of Agbede Division, led by the DPO, raided a hotel in Agbede used by the suspects and arrested them, recovering two automatic pump-action guns, a locally made single-barrel shotgun, two live cartridges, a Lexus SUV, a Toyota Tacoma pickup, charms and other items.
