It was gathered that the teenage girls from Edo State, aged 13 and 14, were reportedly being trafficked to Mali for prostitution when they were rescued.
The victims, who were headed for Mali, were tracked and intercepted in Zaria, Kaduna State, by the agency’s rescue team, which had been monitoring and trailing their movement.
The Director-General of the Agency, Lucky Agazumah, confirmed the incident, stating that the victims were rescued in Zaria, Kaduna State.
He said the victims were able to identify the transport company in Edo State allegedly collaborating with the traffickers.
