3000 Guyuk residents benefit from free medical outreach

More than 3000 Guyuk residents have benefitted from a three-day medical outreach offered by the Senator representing Adamawa South Senatorial zone, Senator Binos Yaroe.

The outreach was conducted at the Cottage Hospital, Guyuk where medical personnel rendered their services, which included caesarean section, vagina  prolapse and herniorrhaphy.

Binos has pledged to carry out same medical outreach on the remaining six councils that made up the zone.

He said the provision of quality health care services was one of his top priorities.

According to Dr. Talemoh Whycliff Dah of Rural Health Initiative, 108 patients had surgeries.

He explained the ophthalmologist had operated on about 98 cases of cataract, 255 had dental care and 500 had collected reading glasses.

A Consultant  Obstetric and Gynaecologist, Dr Zaro Boysunni, said  cases of blocked fallopian tubes, fallen bladder out of a woman’s womb and multiple cases of fibroids were treated.
