A 32-year-old man, Usama Dalladi, has been reportedly slaughtered in his room in Kampani community, Wase LGA of Plateau State on Saturday.
City & Crime reports that Kampani has been plagued by banditry and other criminal activities, resulting in hundreds of deaths and numerous kidnappings.
According to Sapi’i Sambo, a youth leader in the area, the incident occurred at night while the victim was sleeping when suspected bandits attacked and slaughtered Usama in his room, adding that the family discovered the victim in a pool of blood with his neck slit.
He said, ‘‘The incident has been reported to the police and other security agencies.
‘’We commend the efforts of security personnel in the area. However, despite their presence, the suspected bandits still managed to kill Usama. We urge the federal government to strengthen security presence to put an end to these heinous acts. We live in fear and desperately need security attention.”
No immediate response from the police on the incident.
