33-year-old man arraigned for alleged theft of Imam’s money at ATM centre

A 33-year-old man, Bashir Hamzat, has been accused of stealing money from Mr Kamorudeen Imam in Osogbo on the pretext he was assisting him to use the Automated Teller Machine.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Kayode Adeoye, told an Osogbo court yesterday in Osun State that Hamzat committed the offence sometime in June 2020 at about 10am.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the offence levelled against him.

His counsel, Yetunde Dada, applied that he should be granted bail.

Magistrate E. I. Omisade granted Hamzat bail in the sum of N200,000, with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till July 15, 2020.
