The Katsina State Police Command said it has arrested 344 suspected criminals linked to kidnapping, banditry, cattle rustling and other crimes across the state in April 2026 as part of an intensified security operations conducted.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, disclosed this while briefing journalists on the command’s operational achievements during the period under review.

Aliyu said the command had strengthened its fight against insecurity through intelligence-led operations, inter-agency collaboration, coordinated patrols and targeted raids in identified criminal flashpoints across the state.

The police spokesman also revealed that 27 kidnapped victims were rescued during various operations and reunited with their families after medical examinations, adding that one suspected kidnapper was neutralised during a tactical operation carried out by security operatives.
