A Magistrate Court in Osogbo, Osun State has sentenced a 35-year-old woman, Nafisat Raji to six months imprisonment for stealing a phone.
The prosecutor, Inspector Joshua Oladoye told the court that the the lady stole a Techno Y6 mobile phone of one Deborah Akindele, valued N14,500 on at Fayemi Street, Osogbo
He also said Raji also stole one HP Pavilion Laptop belonging to one Mubarak Olaboopo N45,000 on the 30th of August, 2017 at Akeju street, opposite Government Technical College in Osogbo
Prosecutor Joshua said that the offences committed by Raji contravened sections 412,383 and punishable section 390(9) of Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003
The accused who was weeping profusely in the dock, pleaded guilty of the charges preferred against her. Her Counsel, Mr Nagite Okobe urged the court to be lenient with her .
In her judgement, Magistrate Adenike Olowolagba convicted Raji to 6 month imprisonment with option of fine of N3,000
