4 arraigned for property scandal

Four people have been arraigned for criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery and theft.

The offences were contrary to Sections 97,302, and 287 of the Penal Code Law.

The Prosecution officer, Sani Musa told the court that the suspects were Haladu Idris, 47, of Askwalaye Kaduna, conspired with Aminu Ibrahim, 24, of Unguwa Uku Kano and forged some documents.

He said the two accused persons criminally forged an invoice bearing the name of Hamir Investment No 27b Yolawa street by Singer Market Kano, changed the amount on it to read higher figure.

The prosecutor told the court that the other suspects, Aminu Salihu, 48, of Wanka and Yahaya Inusa,19, of Bachirawa Kano were arraigned for dishonestly receiving stolen goods.

All the accused pleaded not guilty when the charge sheets were read to them.

In view of their plea, the presiding Judge, Ibrahim Khalil ordered for their remand in prison custody and adjourned the case to January 24, 2019.
