Our correspondent gathered that the syndicate had its hideout in Umuozu, a neighbouring community to Amaigbo.
It was learnt that a victim escaped from the gang and thereafter informed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) who mobilised members of the Amaigbo Security Watch (ASW) to their hideout.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, CSP Mike Abattam, did not answer his calls.
