Police in Kano State have arrested a syndicate of tricycle snatchers, including a female, terrorizing the people of the state.
Police spokesman in the state, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said acting on credible information, police operatives apprehended two suspects, one Auwal Mohammed (30) of Hotoro Quarters, Kano and Maryam Ibrahim (25) from Bauchi State, at a location in Kura LGA of the state
The PPRO said the suspects allegedly drugged one tricycle rider, Shu’aibu Aliyu and attempted to snatch his tricycle but a prompt response by the police led to the recovery of the tricycle.
Kiyawa further said investigation revealed the involvement of two additional suspects, Suleiman Lawal, A.K.A Aljan (25) of Sheka Quarters and Muhammad Tajuddeen (32) of Kundila Quarters, suspected to be buyers of the stolen goods.

He said they were arrested with six stolen tricycles.
