A Kano Federal High Court has sentenced four men to 40 years imprisonment after they were found guilty of armed robbery.
Nafi’u Isa, Haruna Ya’u, Sadi Musa and Nadabo Maman, were arrested in Tahila village of Kunkurawa in Dawakin Kudu LGA of Kano State after they attacked a resident, Haruna Garba and his family and made away with cash and other valuables.
They were charged with criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, attempted homicide and inflicting serious injury to which they all pleaded not guilty.
State prosecutor, Barrister Lamido Abba Soron Dinki presented witnesses while the accused defended themselves.

After reviewing the case, Justice Usman Na’Abba, sentenced each of them to six months on first charge and 20 years on the second charge.
They are also to spend 10 years on the third charge, five years on the fourth charge and another five years if they fail to pay back the sum of N450,000.
