The explosion of an object suspected to be a bomb inside a house in Taraba State has left four persons dead.
According to sources, the blast, which also left many people injured, including an elderly person, occurred at Gaita village in Karim-Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State. Daily Trust on Sunday gathered that the incident occurred at about 3pm on Friday.
A resident, who identified himself as Musa, said residents heard a loud sound from a house in the village.
He said the villagers discovered that the explosion created a deep hole inside the house where four persons, believed to be members of the same family, died and many others injured.

Another source in the village, who would not like his name mentioned, said the area suffered a communal crisis which led to the killing of many people, and different arms, including explosives, were allegedly used during the crisis.
The Public Relations Officer of the Taraba State Police Command, SP Usman Abdullahi, could not be reached for comment as he was said to be on admission at a hospital in Jalingo.
