Four suspected cultists were yesterday arraigned before an Ogba magistrate court in Lagos for alleged membership of an unlawful society and also causing breach of the peace in the society.

The four men  –  Ibrahim Raji, 20; Azeez Fawaz, 19; Dayo Ogunbayo, 24; and Kabiru Akande 24  –  whose addresses were not given, were arraigned on three count charges of being members of an unlawful society known as Faceboy, breach of the peace and being in possession of dangerous weapons.

The police prosecutor, Sergeant Kenrich Nomayo, said that the accused committed the offences between January 2018 and October 30, 2018 at the Okepopo, Agarawu and Onala areas of Lagos Island.

The suspects, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Magistrate T.A. Ojo granted them bail of N200,000 each and adjourned the matter till January 15, 2019 for further mention.
