The police in Lagos State have arrested four armed robbery suspects in Lekki, Ajah and Victoria Island areas of the state.

The police said the suspects were members of secret cult gangs who were suspected to be masterminds of the different clashes in the area.

The police spokesman of the command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, said one of the suspects, Alabi Timothy, was arrested with a locally-made double barrel gun and three cartridges.

He further said, “Similarly, a self-confessed cultist, Badmus Toheed (22), who belongs to the Aye Confraternity was arrested with a live cartridge.

“The suspect confessed that he was initiated into the confraternity sometime in June, 2021.

“Also, two suspects have been arrested for offering bribe to the police to secure the release of the two suspects and pervert the course of justice. While Adariku Sunday (34) offered N400,000 bribe to secure the release, Folorunso Akeem offered N100,000.
