Operatives of the Nigerian Customs Service, Seme Area Command, have arrested four suspected cross-border bandits.

The gang, according to the customs, was responsible for attacks on traders on the Mile Two-Badagry express. The gang was also said to be into car snatching and hijack of trucks carrying goods.

The suspects were arrested at Gbaji, on the Badagry-Seme axis of the road by the operatives on special mission.

The Customs Area Comptroller, Mohammed Uba Garba, made the disclosure while handing over the suspects to policemen attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad  (SARS), Lagos Command.

Uba gave the names of the suspects as Ibrahim Fasasi, 25; Alex Bright, 27; Godwin Sunday, 27 and Abiodun Sodiq, 21.

He said that the suspects had disguised as good Samaritans by filling potholes on the Seme expressway, with people not knowing that were actually waiting for the opportunity to strike.

He said that the suspects were arrested with guns and charms.
