Alhaji Musa Talle, the Chairman of the FCT Football Association, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

Talle said the competition, to be organised in each state by the football association, was also expected to begin simultaneously in the 36 states of the federation and the nation’s capital.

According to him, the FCT football officials, including coaches of the teams will hold the draws for the Abuja-based clubs early next week.

“The winner from each state will represent that state at the federal level where draws will again be made to know who meets the other before the overall winners emerge.

“A trophy and cash award will be presented to the winners who will represent the country at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) club competition,’’ he said.

He said the competition was going to be on a knock-out basis throughout April for the state champions to emerge. (NAN)
