The state commissioner for Health, Dr. Olaokun Soyinka made this disclosure while briefing newsmen on the activities of the ministry in the last one year.
Also, 191 illegal and unregistered health facilities were identified, Soyinka noted that some of the facilities were owned by professionals, but failed to dully register with the state health ministry.
The commissioner said the menace of under qualified and fake healthcare practitioners and businesses of all types has taken a terrible toll on the health of Ogun indigenes.
He hinted further that a total of 63 illegal drug operators were clamped down in the period under review.
A breakdown showed that a total of 16 drug stores were shut at Akute/Adiyan and Agbado in Ifo council area.
