4600 farmers have benefited from the Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) anchor borrowers loan in Shabu Town of Lafia local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

In his remarks, an official of Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) in charge of Anchor borrower Scheme, Mr Jonathan Tashi, called on the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the loans, source for professional counseling and avoid unnecessary spending that would defeat its good purpose.

Similarly, Zonal Manager of Bank of Agriculture (BOA) North Central, Mr. Ibrahim Alamba, informed the farmers that the farm inputs would be debited in their accounts and pleaded with them to pay back from their sales promptly.

In her address, the General Manger of CSS Farms, Dr Ifeoma Unachukwu, said the Anchor Borrowers Loan Scheme is in line with President Muhammedu Buhari’s agenda to boost rice production locally.
