The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Delta State command, has said that no fewer than 4,651 driver’s licence are yet to be collected in the state.
Mr Muftau Irekeola, the Sector Commander, who disclosed this in an interview, explained that as at December, 2023, the total number of uncollected driver’s licence stood at 3,953, adding that since the beginning of 2024, about 23,513 had been produced.
He said that since the beginning of the year only about 18,962 driver’s licence had been collected.
He frowned at motorists who processed their driver’s licence and never bothered to go back to collect it.
He further said that despite the efforts of the staff of the driver’s licence centre in reaching out to the owners through their next of kin, the owners still did not go to pick up their driver’s licence. (NAN)
