The Vice Chancellor, Benson Idahosa University, Edo State, Prof. Sam Guobadia, said 49 students of the institution graduated with first class degrees in the 2017/2018 academic session.

Prof. Sam Guobadia disclosed this yesterday during a briefing heralding the 14th convocation ceremony of the institution.

He said 602 students would be conferred with first and postgraduate degrees as well as diplomas respectively.

Guobadia said the graduates were trained in line with the vision of the institution to raise academics, professionals and entrepreneurs who are complete in spirit, mind and body, with a core purpose to change Nigeria.

He said the management of the institution was taking measures to check examination malpractice among its students.

He said they want to graduate students that have acquired the necessary skills needed in the global market place."
