The 4th edition of the FCT Small and Medium Enterprise exhibitiom yesterday kicked off in Abuja.

Declaring the exhibition open, the FCTA Permanent Secretary, Adesola Olusade, said the administration was dedicated to bettering the living standards of residents) by creating opportunities through infrastructural development and Socio-economic Programmes, which he said would lead to a more inclusive society where everyone is given the enabling environment to succeed.
‘’We are putting measures to advance the growth of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sub sector thus improving the general wellbeing of residents of the FCT. One of such measures is the harmonization of taxes and levies in the FCT. When concluded the harmonization of taxes and levies will eliminate the incidence of multiple taxation, thus reducing the operational cost of MSMEs and increasing their profitability.
‘’The 4th Abuja SME Expo is aimed at creating viable and sustainable businesses and enterprises by fostering access to markets. This edition is focused on providing sustainable market solutions in addition to promoting local content to gain regional and global visibility,’’ he said.
Earlier, the Acting Managing Director/CEO, Abuja Enterprise Agency, Chudi Ugwuada-Ezirigwe, said the Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) initiated the Abuja SME Expo in 2016 with the aim of providing a platform for enterprises to showcase and promote their products and services to the local and global markets, while expanding their market reach and exploring new horizons.
