Five persons, Adamu Aliyu, Hassan Isma’il, Sadik Yakubu, Dahiru Sadik and Ahmad Ya’u of Darmanawa quarters, have been arraingned before a Senior Magistrate court no 25 of Gyadi-Gyadi court road, Kano for alleged intimidation.
The accused were charged with criminal conspiracy, screening an offender , criminal force obstruction and being in possession of dangerous weapons which contradicted sections 96 , 376 , 263 and 148 of the Penal Code Law.
Ibrahim Abubakar a commander of a vigilante group arrested and took the suspects to police station.
They intimidated the vigilante group, in which they beat one of the group members with dangerous weapons thereby causing him injury.
The accused denied all the charges. and the prosecutor Sunusi Muhd applied for their bail.
The presiding Judge Justice Abdu Abubakar Maiwada granted the bail on the sum of N200,000 each with two reliable suretees, one of which one must be a wardhead.
The case was adjourned to 29 November, 2017 for continuation.
