Five people have been killed with four others missing after armed invaders attacked communities in two local government areas of Benue State.
Our correspondent reports that the attacks, which left several others injured were carried out in Ayilamo village of Logo LGA and Mbachohon community in Gwer-West LGA respectively.
Locals said that the armed invaders attacked Ayilamo and Mahanga (Mobile Barracks) settlements in Logo LGA around 10:08pm on Tuesday killing the five persons and inflicting gun wounds on many others.
The locals told journalists in Makurdi on Wednesday that the bodies of five deceased, which include Ayev Jôgunô, Faiga Mwuese Apefan, Msendoo Tertese Vaachia, James Iorliam and Orgbee Mnguerorga had been recovered.

They also listed those injured in the Logo incident as; Mngohol Utile, Vershima Usange Meeme and Terpase Nyerga.
The added that some of the cases were so serious that on Wednesday (yesterday) they were referred to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) in Makurdi.
Our correspondent also gathered that herdsmen attacked an IDP camp in Nagi, Mbachohon Council Ward in Gwer West LGA same Tuesday.
Meanwhile, in the Gwer West attack, four persons including Joe Igba, Nyali Akula, Tarvihi Donald and Tyozenda Orkoh are still missing but there were not yet any reported dead.
However, Governor Hyacinth Alia has condemned the attacks on Ayilamo and Mbachohon communities in Logo and Gwer-West areas by suspected armed invaders.
The governor who lamented cases of alleged armed attacks on Benue communities leading to loss of lives and property said he would not rest until such barbaric acts were curtailed.
Alia sympathised with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the attacks even as he called on security agencies in the state to quickly delve into the depths of the unfortunate situations and apprehend those suspected to be behind such attacks and bring them before the law.
