Hakeem has also enjoyed a flourishing career in Hollywood with roles in blockbuster hits such as ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ ‘Hotel Rwanda’ and ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ and on TV in the seventh season of ‘24.’ He has also played a number of leading roles in Nigerian movies such as the musical drama ‘Inale,’ thriller ‘Last Flight to Abuja’ and ‘Man on Ground.’

The 2013 movie, ‘Half of a Yellow Sun,’ based on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s book of the same name, featured Thandie Newton in the starring role of Olanna who returns to Nigeria after schooling in the US during the outbreak of the Civil War. The movie also features Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Boyega and Anika Noni Rose.
Sarah Wayne Callies
More prominently known for her role as Michael Scofield’s love interest in the hit TV series, ‘Prison Break,’ Sarah made her Nollywood debut in 2012 when she starred in the action drama, Black November alongside an ensemble cast such as Kim Basinger, Fred Amata, Akon and Wyclef Jean. The movie focuses on the Niger Delta and the struggle against excessive oil drilling.
Nick Moran
Before his role in one of the biggest movie franchises of all time, ‘Harry Potter,’ in 2006, Nick Moran also featured in a Nigerian movie – ‘The Amazing Grace.’ The movie is the story of a British slave trader and experiences of brutality he witnessed, before later becoming a priest. Other notable names involved in the production were Joke Silva and Zack Amata.
