The league leaders entered the match with 100 league goals scored so far this season, and broke the record after their second goal of the evening.
Vincent Kompany’s side has scored 105 goals so far, breaking the 101 goals record previously set by the club 54 years ago in the 1971/72 season.
Jamal Musiala opened the floodgate of goals with a header to equal the record on nine minutes, and Leon Goretzka netted the record-breaking goal with a volley on 53 minutes.

Michael Olise, Nicholas Jackson and Raphael Guerreiro added the rest of the goals on a day Bayern rested striker Harry Kane, the club’s highest goalscorer so far this season.
