Fifty students from Jigawa State have left for China to study medicine in Shenyag Medical College under state scholarships.
Addressing the successful students at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport Kano before their departure to China, Jigawa state Commissioner FOR Health Dr. Abba Zakari Umar said government’s decision to send students to China was due to lack of adequate medical personnel in hospitals.
He said the state in collaboration with Usmaniya Global Agency, a student recruitment agency, credible schools have been chosen for the students in China.
