Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command have arrested a 50-year-old driver, Audulahi Kamarudeen for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old school girl in an uncompleted building in Akure, the state capital.
The NSCDC Command Public Relations Officer, Olufemi Omole on Tuesday, said that the suspect was caught on Sunday while defiling the minor (name withheld) at Adelabu Street, Danjuma area of the town.
The State Commandant, Eweka Edenabu also said that investigations revealed that the suspect had sexually harassed another 8-year-old girl some weeks earlier.
He said the girls are with the NSCDC Anti-human Trafficking and Irregular Migration Unit, adding that the command is liaising with the Ministry of Women Affairs for safe custody and protection of the victims.
“We gathered that Audulahi Kamarudeen used to come for relaxation in the same compound where the children live. The 10-year-old girl lamented how the suspect covered her mouth and nose while penetrating her from the behind,” he said.
He said the two girls have been taken to the Federal Medical Center Annex in Oda Road Akure for necessary medical examination and results indicated that there was attempted penetration through the anus of the 10-year old girl.
